O R D E R
This Writ Petition is filed directing the respondents to demarcate petitioner's property and fix the boundaries in respect of Town Survey Number 374/1B of an extent of 20 cents situated at Vilampatti, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District, and lay boundary stone Vide D.No.: 4171/2025 based on the petitioner's application dated 07.10.2025.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the lawful owner of the subject property and is in possession and enjoyment thereof. With a view to properly identify the boundaries and avoid future disputes, the petitioner submitted an online application No.2025/0178/24/000590 dated 07.10.2025 before the 2/6
competent revenue authorities seeking survey the land and fix the boundaries of the said land. Despite the said application, the official respondents have failed to take any action to survey the land and fix the boundaries of the petitioner's land within a reasonable time. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to approach this Court by filing the present Writ Petition.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that proper steps would be taken to survey the land and fix the boundaries in accordance with the law.

Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's application dated 07.10.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The application shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The respondents 1 and 2 are directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such 3/6
decision. It is needless to state that the revenue officials may seek assistance from the third respondent Police, if Police assistance is required while carrying out such survey. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
