O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the final report in C.C.No.446 of 2024, on the file of the Additional Mahila Court, Madurai, filed against the petitioners for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 448, 341, 323, 324 and 506(ii) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 r/w. Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

2. The allegation in the final report is that, on account of previous enmity, the petitioners attacked the second respondent/defacto complainant and the third respondent/victim with hands and iron rod, abused them in filthy language, committed criminal intimidation, and thus committed the aforesaid offences.

3. The parties have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 12th November, 2025.

The petitioners, namely, (1) Kannan [Aadhaar No.2824 3513 6405], (2) Petthanan [Aadhaar No.3744 9420 3009], (3) Rajendran [Aadhaar No.8644 0510 1801] and (4) Suresh @ Mokkaiyan [Aadhaar No.5513 4534 8335], the second respondent/defacto complainant, namely, Adaikalan [Aadhaar No.5933 5917 4309], and the third respondent/victim, namely, Veerupillai [Aadhaar No.4837 0657 5974] are present before this Court in person. The parties are identified by Mr.C.Paramasivan, Sub-Inspector of Police, Nagamalai Pudukkottai Police Station. The second respondent/defacto complainant and the third respondent/victim confirmed the compromise arrived at between them and stated that they do not wish to pursue the case.

5. In view of the same and considering the nature of the offences, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final report in C.C.No.446 of 2024, on the file of the Additional Mahila Court, Madurai, is quashed. The petitioners shall pay a sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) to the Siddha Unit attached to this Court (A/c. No.10767823177, IFSC Code : SBIN0000898 & MICR Page No. 3 of 5

Code : 625002601) forthwith and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry. The compromise memo filed by the parties shall form part and parcel of this order.
