ORDER
The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction, directing the respondent to sanction the education loan for her son J.Anto Rajiv as per the application dated 8.9.2012 without insisting collateral security.
2.According to the petitioner, her son viz., J.Anto Rajiv got admission in MBBS Course in China Medical University, China. Hence, she filed an application before the respondent Bank, seeking educational loan to the tune of Rs.24,00,000/-. According to her, the duration of the course is from 2012 to 2016. Even though the petitioner filed an application in time, the respondent did not consider the same. Hence, she has filed the present writ petition before this Court.
3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.S.Sethuraman, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent, submitted that already the course is over and only one year is remaining.
4.But, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that two more years is to go.
5.The learned counsel for the respondent further submitted that the respondent Bank is willing to consider the petitioner's application for the remaining course period.

6.In view of the above submissions, the respondent Bank is directed to consider the application of the petitioner for grant of educational loan, for the remaining course period and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
