PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to remove the names wrongly entered in patta No.756 for Survey No.21/19A1 situated at Sethukuvaithan Village, Eral Taluk, Thoothukudi District by disposing the petitioner's petition in Na.Ka.No.A3/3438/2025 dated 23.05.2025 on the file of the 1st respondent, within the stipulated time fixed by this Court. ORDER

According to the petitioner, the names of 11 persons were wrongly included in patta No.756. After filing an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer for removal of those names, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents 1 and 2. By referring to communication dated 23.05.2025, he submits that the enquiry is pending and that the Revenue Divisional Officer would pass orders on merits within three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

3. In view of the above submissions of learned Special Government Pleader, it is unnecessary to issue notice to the private respondents in this writ petition. Instead, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, the respondents 3 to 5 herein and any other pattadhars. No costs.
