Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner is a resident of Kuruvikkaran Salai, Madurai. He alleges that in the petition-mentioned channel, there are encroachments. He wants the same to be removed.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader on instructions stated that a channel does flow through the petition-mentioned survey number. He also added that on 21.11.2025, survey is proposed to be conducted.

4. We make it clear that before conducting survey, notices should be issued to all the interested persons including the encroachers. If the encroachments are noticed, they have to be 2/

3 W.P.(MD)NO.32148 OF 2025 removed by strictly adhering to due process of law. Hearing should be afforded to all the encroachers. The entire exercise will be completed within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
