The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 309(6), 311 and 351(3) of BNS, 2023 in Crime No.217 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 17.08.2025, the petitioner herein and other accused are said to have waylaid the defacto complainant and robbed a sum of Rs.1,500/- and also threatened him with dire consequences. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submits that the petitioner is a History Sheeted rowdy and that there are nine previous cases pending against the petitioner. He further submitted that the coaccused have already been arrested and still in custody and hence, he prays to dismiss this Criminal Original Petition.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the petitioner is a History sheeted rowdy and that there are nine previous cases pending against the petitioner and that the co-accused are still in custody, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
