ORDER

The petitioner seeks to quash the impugned final report filed for the offences under Sections 341, 294(b), 324 and 506(ii) I.P.C. 1/4

2. The allegation in the final report is that due to previous enmity, the petitioner along with other accused attacked the defacto complainant with hand and sticks, besides abusing him in filthy language and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.

3. Admittedly, the petitioner and the second respondent are friends and they have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 19th November 2025. Both the parties have agreed that the entire final report may be quashed.

4. The petitioner and the second respondent are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.S.Senthil Arumugam, SSI, Ottapidaram Police Station, Thoothukudi District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. Considering the nature of the offences and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report pending trial. 2/4

Accordingly, the impugned final report is quashed in entirety and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 19th November 2025, shall form part and parcel of this order. 11.11.2025 LS TO
