ORDER
The petitioners seek to quash the impugned charge sheet in C.C.No.1987 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Madurai, which was filed for the offences under Section 147, 294(b), 323, 324, 506(2) of IPC.
2. The allegation in the final report is that on account of prior enmity, the petitioners abused the defacto complainant in filthy language, attacked him with wooden log and threatened him of dire consequences and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.
3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the second respondent have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 25.11.2025. 2/5
4. The petitioners and the second respondent, namely, Vijay are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.T.Chinnaalagu, Special Sub Inspector of Police, D2 Sellur Police Station, Madurai. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

In view of the same and considering the nature of the offences and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned charge sheet in C.C.No.1987 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Madurai, is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 25.11.2025 shall form part of this order. The petitioners shall pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) as costs to the High Court Legal Services Authority attached to this Bench forthwith and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
