ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the first respondent to transfer the investigation and nominate an officer to conduct the investigation in Crime No.225 of 2025 pending on the file of Vadipatti Police Station, which was filed for the offences under Section 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 133, 351(3) of BNS, 2023, Section 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(va) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

2. During the course of arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied if the second respondent concludes the investigation within a short time, which may be monitored by the Superintendent of Police/first respondent herein.

3. Recording the above submission, the second respondent is directed to conclude the investigation in Crime No.225 of 2025 and file a final report within a period of one (1) month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The investigation shall be monitored by the Superintendent of Police/first 2/4

respondent. It is needless to say that the respondent Police shall comply with the rules and procedure prescribed under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

4. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
