This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the third respondent to issue a Joint Patta in the name of the petitioner and other legal heirs of Late Ramasamy Servai in respect of the property in Survey No. 127/1, situated at Amaravathipudur Village, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the subject property is classified as a "public pond" in the revenue records. However, he submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered and disposed of on merits and in accordance with law. 2/4

4. Recording the aforesaid submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2025 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
