This writ petition has been filed seeking expeditious disposal of the petition filed by the petitioner before the first respondent in Petition No.942 of 2016, for mutation of patta in respect of the landed property comprised in Survey No.146, to an extent of 1.20 cents, situated at V.Pudukkottai, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3 submits that the appeal will be considered and disposed of on merits within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Recording the aforesaid submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal in Petition No.942 of 2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass 2/4

appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
