The petitioner, who is facing trial for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A and 506(i) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, in C.C.No.214 of 2018 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Manapparai, Trichy District, seeks early disposal of the said case, since the case is pending from 2018.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first respondent would submit that so far only one witness has been examined out of eight witnesses cited by the prosecution; and that they would produce the evidence as and when summons is issued by the learned Judicial Magistrate.

3. Considering the fact that the trial is pending since 2018, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Manapparai, Trichy District, is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible and not later than one year from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Page No. 2 of 4

4. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
