This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to direct the second respondent to cancel the Joint Patta No.295 in the name of the fourth respondent for the property in Survey No.34/3E an extent of 26 Cents in Vadivelkarai Village, Madurai West Taluk, Madurai District and restore Patta No.836 already granted in the petitioner's name by considering his representation dated 08.09.2025 and by collecting report from the third respondent as per the Communication of the second respondent in Oo.Mu.No.E-3782258/2025/Kae dated 10.10.2025, within the period.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the 2/5
second respondent will consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within the time frame stipulated by this Court.
3. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.09.2025 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. Such representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry, affording a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, respondents 5 to 7 and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry. In the event of any issues pertaining to land disputes, the parties shall approach the competent civil court. No costs.
