O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to cancel the Joint Patta (Extract from the Town Survey Land Register) in Block 55 of Vedapatti, Survey Field No. 32, dated 02.10.2025, wherein the name of the third respondent has been allegedly included fraudulently, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.10.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the materials available on record.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that though the Revenue Divisional Officer is the competent authority to consider the relief sought by the petitioner, the Tahsildar will forward the petitioner's representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer, who shall thereafter consider and dispose of the representation in accordance with law.

4.In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the second respondent/Tahsildar to forward the petitioner's representation to the jurisdictional Revenue Divisional Officer. The Revenue Divisional Officer shall consider and dispose of the representation dated 11.10.2025 after conducting an inquiry, which shall include issuing notice to the petitioner, the third respondent, the joint pattadhars and any other persons who may be affected, and considering any objections submitted by them. The Revenue Divisional Officer shall thereafter pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
