Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to Constitute the Special Courts and appoint a Special Public Prosecutor for every Special Court under Sections 28 and 32 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 31.12.2012, in accordance with law, within a stipulated time. [Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] The petitioner has come up with this Public Interest Litigation seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to constitute the Special Courts and appoint a Special Public Prosecutor for every Special Court under Sections 28 and 32 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate submitted that in the State of Tamil Nadu, Special Courts have already been constituted and nothing survives in this petition. The said statement is recorded. 3.In view of the same, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also dismissed.
