ORDER

The petitioner seeks to quash the impugned final report filed for the offences under Sections 294(b), 448, 435 and 506(ii) I.P.C. 1/4

2. The gist of the allegations is that on account of prior dispute, the petitioner caused damage to the two-wheeler of the defacto complainant and thus committed the aforesaid offences.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner and the second respondent /defacto complainant are close relatives and the parties have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 07.11.2025.

4. The petitioner and the defacto complainant are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.R.Saravanan, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Gangaikondan Police Station, Tirunelveli District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. Considering the nature of the offences, relationship and the compromise arrived at between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report 2/4

pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final report is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 07.11.2025, shall form part and parcel of the order. The petitioner shall pay a cost of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) to the credit of the "District Siddha Medical Officer, CCRI, Periyakulam" (Account No.10767823177, IFSC Code: SBIN0000898, MICR Code: 625002601) and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry.
