ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking to quash the impugned final report in C.C.No.2066 of 2023, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Tirunelveli, Tirunelveli District, which was filed for the offences under Sections 294(b), 420, 353 and 506(ii) of IPC. 2.The allegation in the final report is that the petitioner received a sum of Rs.1,70,000/- on the promise of getting a job for the defacto complainant and cheated him and thus, committed the aforesaid offences. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the defacto complainant/the second respondent would submit that the parties have now entered into a compromise on the advise of the elders and well-wishers and both the parties have agreed that the impugned F.I.R may be quashed and the parties have also filed a joint compromise memo dated 05.11.2025.

4.The petitioner, namely, M.Stella Baby (Aadhaar No.2741 2621 2513) and the second respondent, namely, Chidambaraprabu (Aadhaar No.2148 4794 4777) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.E.Balasubramanian, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Tirunelveli Junction Police Station, Tirunelveli District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them. 5.Admittedly, the defacto complainant is the only victim in this case and she is not willing to pursue the said proceedings against the petitioner. Hence, considering the nature of the allegations and the fact that the parties have arrived at a compromise, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned charge sheet pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned charge sheet in C.C.No.

2066 of 2023, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Tirunelveli, Tirunelveli District, is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The petitioners shall pay a sum of Rs.

receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry. The joint compromise memo dated 05.11.2025 shall form part of this order.
