ORDER

Challenging the order passed by the first respondent rejecting application of the petitioner for grant of LPG distributorship, the present writ petition has been filed. 2.According to the petitioner, as per condition No.4 of brochure issued by the respondent, the applicant should maintain minimum of sum of Rs.2 lakhs in his name on the date of filing application and the said condition has been duly complied with by the petitioner. However, the impugned order has been passed without assigning valid reasons for rejection his application for grant of LPG distributorship and therefore, it is unsustainable in law.

3.The first respondent filed a counter affidavit stating that as per the guidelines, minimum deposit amount of Rs.2 lakhs has to be maintained by the applicant as on the date of application in his savings bank account/ fixed deposit account/NSC/KVP etc., whereas as on the date of application on 30.01.2012, the amount in the petitioner's account was only Rs.5053.84. Therefore, the petitioner's application has been rejected on the above ground.

4.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is also not in a position to dispute the same.

5.In view of the above, I find no irregularity or infirmity in the order passed by the respondent. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, M.P(MD)No.2 of 2013 is closed.
