Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS, directing the respondents No.1 to 3 to rectify the error made in the UDR Scheme in S.No.1169 to the extent of 6.13 Acres out of 7.93 Acres situated at Kalvarpatti Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District based on the registered sale deed vide D.No.2006/1963 dated 23.09.1963 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2025.

ORDER

By relying on sale deed dated 23.09.1963 under which the petitioner's father purchased the property bearing S.No.1169 from one Kaali Maathari, the petitioner had applied for the computer patta and chitta in relation thereto.

2. The petitioner was informed that there was a UDR error. Therefore, the petitioner approached the District Revenue Officer. The petitioner seeks the early disposal of proceedings before the said authority.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the District Revenue Officer would pass orders on merits within four months.

4. In these circumstances, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Revenue Officer to consider the petitioner's request and pass orders thereon on merits within four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the current pattadhar or his legal heirs. No costs.
