Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to issue fresh patta in the petitioner's name in respect of the land Survey No.197/3B at Velayuthangudi Village, Kumbakudi Majara, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District to an extent of 2 Acre 38 cents, on the basis of her representation dated 27.10.2025 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

The petitioner's sister, Sappaniammal, was the owner of 2 acres and 96 cents in survey No.197/3B. In respect of an aggregate extent of 58 cents, she had executed a sale deed in favour of third parties. As regards the remaining extent, by settlement deed dated 01.09.2016, 2 acres and 38 cents were settled in favour of the petitioner under sale deed bearing Doc.No.4823 of 2016. The petitioner had submitted a representation to the Tahsildar for issuance of patta for the extent of 2 acres and 38 cents. Seeking further action thereon, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the Tahsildar would consider and pass orders on the petitioner's request within three (3) months.

3. In view of the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed 2/4

of by directing the Tahsildar to consider and dispose of the petitioner's request to issue a modified patta in the petitioner's name in respect of the extent of 2 acres and 38 cents in survey No.197/3B. A speaking order shall be issued within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
