Respondents in both WPs W.P.(MD).No.3542 of 2013:- This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.02.2012 relating to the patta transfer, in the petitioner's name, relating to an extent of 0.11.0 hectares in S.No.1423/4A, Sundarapandian Village, Srivilliputtur Taluk, Virudhunagar District, within the time stipulated by this Court. W.P.(MD).No.3659 of 2013: This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2011 relating to the patta transfer, in the petitioner's name, relating to an extent of 2 acres and four cents in S.No.892/2B, at W.Puduatti Village, Srivilliputtur Taluk, Virudhunagar District.
For both Wps For petitioners : Mr.A.Sivaji For Respondents : Mr.N.S.Karthikeyan Additional Government Pleader ********** COMMON ORDER The petitioners, in both the Writ Petitions, seeking patta transfer, have made representations dated 10.02.2012 and 07.07.2011 respectively.

consideration before the respondents. Hence, the petitioners have come forward with these Writ Petitions.
2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submitted that it would suffice if the representations of the petitioners, are disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the representations will be considered in accordance with law and appropriate orders would be passed thereon.
4. In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue involved, the second respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the representations of the petitioners dated 07.07.2011 and 10.02.2012, respectively, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this order should not be construed as giving any positive direction to the respondents and the respondents shall pass orders independently, depending upon the facts and circumstances of the case.
With the above direction, these Writ Petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
