ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pay 6% interest amount of Rs.5,16,490/- for the belated payment of Terminal Benefits amounts of Rs.57,97,010/- payable to the petitioner such as P.F., Gratuity, Leave Salary and Commutation amounts from the date of his retirement ie., on 29.02.2024 till the date of actual payment made to him ie., 25.08.2025.

2. Considering the admitted fact that there has been a delay in payment, the petitioner is entitled to statutory interest as provided under law.

3. In view of the same, the writ petition stands disposed of. The respondents are directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum on the belated terminal benefits payable to the petitioner from the date of his entitlement till the date of his payment within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
