ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.09.2025, wherein he sought waiver of the monthly rental amount for the period from 20.11.2024 to 07.05.2025 in respect of Shop No.2 at the multilevel car parking of the Old General Market, Madurai City, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

2. Mr.S.Vinayak, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. According to the petitioner, he is running Shop No.2 at the multilevel car parking of the Old General Market, Madurai City. He submitted a representation dated 25.09.2025 to the respondent seeking waiver of the monthly rental amount for the period from 20.11.2024 to 07.05.2025. As the said representation has not been considered, he has filed the present writ petition.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.09.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
