PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS to direct the 3rd respondent issuance of amended Patta belongs the petitioners name in Survey No. 555 to an extent of 1932 Sq.ft at Vadamadurai (Village), Vedasanthur (Taluk), Dindigul- District a and provide the report to the petitioner based the petitioners Representations dated 01.11.2025, in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner asserts that he purchased 1932 sq.ft in the S.No.555 under sale deed dated 12.09.1995 and applied for patta. Because such patta was issued only for an extent of 1195.38 sq.ft, the petitioner had applied for rectification of such patta. The present writ petition relates thereto.

2. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the Tahsildar would consider the petitioner's request and pass orders thereon within three months.

3. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the third respondent to consider the petitioner's request for rectification of the patta and pass orders thereon within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and any other person concerned. No costs.
