PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondent No.1 herein and his subordinates from insisting for any prior permission for installation of statue of late freedom fighter Thiru Alagumuthu Kon in the private land and proposed building in S.No.376, Ariyur Gramam, Madurai North, Madurai District.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking to forbear the respondent No.1 herein and his subordinates from insisting for any prior permission for installation of statue of late freedom fighter Thiru Alagumuthu Kon in the private land and proposed building in S.No.376, Ariyur Gramam, Madurai North, Madurai District.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that nothing survives for adjudication in this matter and the petition may be closed as infructuous, by granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the authority concerned afresh, if so required.
