ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Certiorari to call for the entire records connected with the impugned notice issued by the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.35730/2024/R.4 dated 22.10.2025 and to quash the same as illegal.

2. The petitioner was elected as the President of the Manjinayakkanpatti Village Panchayat in the year 2020. Her term expired on 05.01.2025. The impugned order alleges certain irregularities and states that the petitioner caused financial loss to the panchayat funds, calling upon her to explain why a sum of Rs.59,57,638/- should not be recovered from her. Challenging the same, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. It appears that the impugned order is only a show cause notice. Without submitting her explanation to the said notice, the petitioner has rushed to this Court questioning the jurisdiction of the respondent to issue 2/4

it. Therefore, the petitioner is directed to submit her explanation to the impugned show cause notice. The respondent shall consider the same, afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and thereafter pass appropriate orders. Till such time, no coercive steps shall be taken with respect to the recovery of the amount.
