By relying on pre-UDR RSLR 'A' Register, the petitioner asserts that a UDR error was committed by omitting the survey No.23/4 therefrom. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the pattadar as per RSLR 'A' Register was M.Murugan, who is the ancestor of the petitioner.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for all the respondents. He points out that the UDR 'A' Register reflects survey Nos. 23/1 to 23/3. As regards survey No.23/4, he states that there is no entry in respect thereof in the UDR register. He submits further that an inquiry would be conducted on the petitioner's request by the District Revenue Officer and that orders would be issued on merits. 2/4

In the above facts and circumstances, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the District Revenue Officer to consider the petitioner's request for correction of alleged UDR errors and pass orders thereon on merits within four (4) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after issuing notice to the petitioner, the current pattadars, if any and the other legal heirs of the late M.Murugan and providing them a reasonable opportunity. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
