3. This Court is of the considered view that nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition, since the so-called

election is for a particular period, which itself is over by this time.

4. Hence, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
