PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to expedite the proceedings in petition No.Na.Ka.A 837 of 2013 pending before him within a stipulated time by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2013.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to expedite the proceedings in petition No.Na.Ka.A 837 of 2013 pending before him within a stipulated time, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2013.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 7.

3.According to the petitioner, the respondents 8 to 11 obtained patta in their names in respect of some extent of the property in S.No.168/66, which is being used as a public place and they have also intended to construct a building in the said property. Hence, the petitioner has filed an application in Na.Ka.A 837 of 2013 before the third respondent to cancel the patta, granted in favour of the respondents 8 to 11. As the same is pending without passing any orders, the petitioner is before this Court by filing the present writ petition. 4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 7 submits that if a reasonable time is granted to the respondents 1 to 7, orders will be passed in the petition filed by the petitioner before the third respondent. 5.

In view of the said submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the third respondent to expedite the proceedings in Na.Ka.A 837 of 2013 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any of the interested parties.
