ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue notice in the tender bulletin and tender schedule, thereby enabling the petitioner to participate in the tender proceedings for the maintenance works under the respondents.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, and perused the records.

The petitioner is a registered contractor with the Public Works Department and is also functioning as the President of an association known as the Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli District Public Works Contractors Association. The petitioner claims to have received information from fellow contractors that tenders for maintenance works of Government Hospitals at Kovilpatti, Kadambur, Keelaeral, and Nagalapuram are presently being issued by the Tender Inviting Authority. The petitioner specifically requested the 4th respondent/Tender Inviting Authority to serve 2/5
notice of the tender. However, it is alleged that without issuing such notice to the petitioner, the 4th respondent has attempted to accommodate certain persons of their own choice. The petitioner further states that he made a personal representation to the 4th respondent requesting publication of the notice in the tender bulletin and tender schedule. As there was no response from the 4th respondent, and being aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed. It is informed by the learned Additional Government Pleader that no tender has been issued.
4. The petitioner has approached this Court based on an apprehension that the tender process itself has been flouted. On such apprehension alone, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. It is needless to state that the State shall strictly follow the prescribed rules while issuing tenders. No costs.
