respondents to survey the land comprised in Survey numbers 37/9A measuring to an extent of 5.50 Ares and S.No.93/1A measuring to an extent of 28.50 Ares situated at Karungalakkudi Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District as per the application submitted by the petitioner dated 15.10.2025 in Application No. 2025/0123/24/021067 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

By relying on a sale deed dated 24.03.1970 (Doc.No.569/1970) and the pattas in respect of the survey Nos.37/9A and 93/1A (Patta No. 555), the petitioner had applied online for conduct of a survey.

Since the pattas do not stand in the name of the petitioner or the petitioner's father, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the representation for rectification thereof was submitted to the Revenue Divisional Officer. He submits that in the first stage, the petitioner would be satisfied if such representation is directed to be disposed of within a fixed time limit.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the Revenue Divisional Officer would pass orders on merits on the request for rectification.

Considering the aforesaid, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the Revenue Divisional Officer to consider and dispose of the petitioner's request for rectification in respect of survey No.37/9A and 93/1A within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
