ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed for direction to the respondents 1 to 3 not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry by considering his representation dated 25.10.2025.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the enquiry is pending on the complaint given by the fourth respondent and that the enquiry would be completed within a period of two weeks.

3. Recording the above submission, this Court directs the respondent Police to complete the enquiry and communicate the result of the enquiry to the petitioner within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to say that the petitioner or any other person cannot be harassed in the guise of enquiry. Whenever the respondent Police requires the presence of the petitioner for the purpose of enquiry, they shall issue summons and on such summons, the petitioner shall appear. It is needless to say that if there is any civil dispute, the respondent Police shall not interfere in such a dispute and take action only if a cognizable offence is made out. 2/4

4. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
