ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the impugned final report in C.C.No.1395 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Trichirappalli, which was filed for the offences under Section 419, 420, 423, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 34 of IPC.
2. The gist of the allegations in the final report is that the first accused had impersonated the defacto complainant and made it appear that the defacto complainant had executed power of attorney in his favour and sold the disputed property to a third party; and that the petitioners, who are arrayed as A2 and A3, had signed as witnesses to the said document.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the first accused is no more; that the disputed property has now been settled in favour of the defacto complainant's husband; and that the parties have since arrived at a compromise. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 20.11.2025.

4. The petitioners, namely, Santhanasamy (Aadhaar No.8361 6644 3660), Pakkirimohamed (Aadhaar No.4652 8672 5885) and the second respondent, namely, Iruthaya Enjal Mery (Aadhaar No.7101 2619 7955) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.Chelladurai, Head Constable, District Crime Branch, Trichy District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.
5. Considering the fact that pursuant to the compromise, the persons, who purchased the property by virtue of the power of attorney had transferred the same in favour of the defacto complainant's husband and the parties have amicably settled the issue, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final report in C.C.No.1395 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Trichirappalli is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 20.11.2025 shall form part of this order.
