O R D E R
This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondents to disburse a sum of Rs.14,677/- payable to the petitioner towards Provident Fund amount for the period of his service commencing from 25.04.1994 to 10.01.2001 together with interest at the rate of 12 percent per annum from 10.01.2001 to till the date of actual payment to him (2) and further directing the respondents to disburse a sum of Rs.9,58,534/- payable to the petitioner towards Employee and Employer contribution of Contributory Pension Scheme(CPS) together with interest at 18 percent per annum for the period from the date of his retirement (30.06.2022) to till the date of actual payment. 2/6
2. The petitioner has also been benefitted with an order of sanctioning retiremental benefits by the third respondent herein, which is also evidenced by the certificate issued in that regard. The same would also indicate that the petitioner had been relieved from service on attaining superannuation on 30.06.2022. In spite of the same, the petitioner had not been benefitted with the terminal benefits that he is entitled to as per the relevant Statutes.
3. It is to be noted that failure to disburse such terminal benefits, particularly Gratuity and Provident Fund would invite penal proceedings against the respondents under the respective enactments. The petitioner has also made a representation with regard to the disbursal of the terminal benefits which the petitioner is entitled to.

In view of the above facts and circumstances of this case, this Court directs the respondents to disburse the terminal benefits which the petitioner is entitled to within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order along with interest at the rate of 6% from the date of his retirement, till the date of the actual payment to the petitioner.

5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
