ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of IPC, in Crime No.20 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, along with the other accused, created a forged document. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), appearing for the respondent Police, submitted that the offences alleged against the accused are serious in nature. He further submitted that the specific overt act against the petitioner is he had created a forged Power of Attorney. 2/4

Therefore, he opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. In the first anticipatory bail application, this Court had granted interim anticipatory bail, directing the parties to settle the issue through mediation. However, the mediation was unsuccessful. Consequently, the petitioner withdrew the first application and filed the present second anticipatory bail application. Considering the above facts, the specific overt act against the petitioner that he had created a forged Power of Attorney, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. (S S Y J) 26.11.2025 jbr 3/4
