..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the order dated 22.07.2025 passed by the 3rd respondent herein vide. Oo.Thu 2(1)3317/2021 and to quash the same as illegal and further direct the respondents 1 to 6 to allocate the Plot under MDU -159 only for Hindu Religious Purpose and for consequential orders. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings dated 22.07.2025 passed by the 3rd respondent and for a direction to allot Plot No. MDU-159 exclusively for Hindu religious purposes.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, a copy of the proceedings of the respondent Board dated 27.11.2025 was produced. From 2/5

the said proceedings, it is seen that the plot in question was auctioned by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board specifically for the construction of a Hindu place of worship. The highest bid submitted by Tolkappiyam Trust was accepted and the allotment was made subject to the condition that the land shall be used only for the said purpose. The allottee has also given an undertaking to that effect. Subsequently, the encroachment on the land was removed and possession was handed over to the allottee. The lease deed also clearly specifies the purpose as a Hindu place of worship.

3. In view of the above facts, no further orders are required in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
