ORDER

The petitioner/Accused No.1, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 15.02.2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(C), 28 and 29 of the NDPS Act, in F.No.48/1/5/2025/NCB/MDS , on the file of the respondent, seeks bail.

brownish color sticky substance oil from the accused. Hence, this case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. However, he has been arrested and he is languishing in jail from 15.02.2025. Therefore, he prays for grant of bail.

4. The learned Special Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent opposed for grant of bail on the ground that the quantity of contraband is commercial quantity.

5. Taking into consideration the fact that the quantity of contraband is commercial quantity, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
