Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to fill up the vacancies for the post of President and Members of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum in Thanjavur District, which are lying vacant to redress the grievances and hardship of the consumers at large in Thanjavur District within a stipulated time.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.) The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to fill up the vacancies for the post of President and Members of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum in Thanjavur District, which are lying vacant to redress the grievances and hardship of the consumers at large in Thanjavur District within a stipulated time.

2. A counter affidavit has been filed by the respondents 1 and 2, in which, it is stated in paragraph No.7 as follows: "7.It is humbly submitted that, by following the procedures, most of the vacancies for the post of President/Members of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal for a have been filled up and steps are being taken to fill up the existing and ensuing vacancies."

3. Recording the said submission, we direct the respondents to expedite the process.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
