This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Pudukkottai to expedite the trial in S.C.No.85 of 2023.

2. The petitioner is the defacto complainant in S.C.No.85 of 2023, which was filed for the major offences under Section 397 and 302 of IPC. It is seen from the case status that the case is now at the stage of recording evidence. Totally 46 witnesses have been cited by the prosecution. There cannot be any direction to the Trial Court to dispose of the trial within a time frame. However, considering the nature of the offences, the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Pudukkottai may consider expeditious disposal of the case in S.C.No.85 of 2023.

3. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
