Mrs.M.Indira : Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to cancel the Patta issued in favour of the fifth respondent situated in the Public Television Room in Survey No.82/37 to an extent of 040 square meter at Sirupalai, Kottaiur Post, Illayankudi Taluk, Sivagangai District as per the proceedings of the fourth respondent in Na.Ka.A4/8698/2007, dated 14.07.2011 on the file of the third respondent within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

*********** [Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner submitted a representation to the third respondent to cancel the patta granted in favour of the fifth respondent. The Tahsildar appears to have submitted a report to the Revenue Divisional Officer indicating that the patta was wrongly given to the fifth respondent. However, follow-up action was not taken by the Revenue Divisional Officer. The petitioner is, therefore, before this Court.

2. We direct the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai District, to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 22 October, 2012, on merits and as per law, after issuing notice to the fifth respondent. Such exercise shall be completed, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
