Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.07.2012 and 12.10.2012 and to take appropriate action to remove the encroachments made in Nedungulam Kanmoi and other lands belonging to Alagapuri Village, Vembur Panchayat, Ettaiyapuram Taluk, Thoothukudi District.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) The writ petitioner seeks removal of encroachments committed in respect of certain water bodies in Alagapuri Village, Vembur Panchayat, Ettaiyapuram Taluk, Thoothukudi District. 2.Encroachers have also been made as parties to the writ petition. The writ petitioner has given representations dated 11.07.2012 and 20.09.2012 to the respondents. The third respondent is the authority competent to clear the encroachments. 3.This Court directs the third respondent to enquire into the matter and remove the encroachment in question, if any, as alleged by the writ petitioner. The third respondent shall issue notice to the encroachers and thereafter remove the encroachment. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
