ORDER

The petitioners seek to quash the impugned FIR in Crime No.1034 of 2019 on the file of the first respondent police, which was filed for the offences under Section 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324, 506(2) of IPC

2. The allegation in the impugned FIR is that on account of prior enmity, the petitioners attacked the defacto complainant's husband with knife, abused him in filthy language and threatened him of dire consequences and thus committed the aforesaid offences.

3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the second respondent have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 26.11.2025.

4. The petitioners and the second respondent, namely, Charlatte (Aadhar No.2710 9507 6135) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.K.Chennuraj, Special Sub Inspector of Police, V2 Avaniyapuram Police Station, Madurai. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. In view of the same and considering the nature of the offences, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned FIR pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime No.1034 of 2019 on the file of the first respondent police, is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 26.11.2025 shall form part of this order. The petitioners shall pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) as costs to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench forthwith and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry. 28.11.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No Indu To 1.The Inspector of Police, Avaniyapuram Police Station, Madurai City.
