ORDER
The petitioner seeks to quash the impugned FIR registered for the alleged offences under Sections 316(4) and 318 (3) BNS. 1/4
2. The gist of the allegation is that the petitioner, who was working as an administrative head in the school which is run by the second respondent, had misappropriated the amount to the tune of Rs.19,11,978/- and thus committed the aforesaid offences.
3. Admittedly, the petitioner and the second respondent have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 18.11.2025.
4. The petitioner and the second respondent are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.P.Sankar, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Usilampatti Taluk Police Station, Madurai District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.
5. Considering the nature of the allegation, the relationship and the compromise arrived at between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned FIR 2/4
pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime No.57 of 2025 is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 18.11.2025, shall form part and parcel of the order. The petitioner shall pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) as costs to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry.
