[Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.] In this Writ Petition, direction is sought for consideration of the petitioners' representation dated 28.03.2013 by the District Collector, Thanjavur District.

2. The real grievance of the writ petitioners is in respect of the order dated 08.03.2013 issued by the second respondent Panchayat President. The second respondent has peremptorily directed the writ petitioners to vacate from the encroached area in question. In this Writ Petition, the said order dated 08.03.2013 has not been challenged. However, it is seen that the order was passed as early as in March, 2013. Since the said order has not been implemented so far and now the Panchayat is headed by https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

a Special Officer, we direct the Special Officer, Punavasal Panchayat Union, to consider the matter afresh and take appropriate action on merits and as per law, after affording sufficient opportunity to the writ petitioners herein.

3. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
