ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking Writ of Mandamus, to direct the Respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of Additional Superintendent of Police (Category I) on par with his immediate junior in view of the facts that the disciplinary proceedings initiated as against him stood quashed and by considering the petitioner representation dated 18.08.2025 along with all other service and monitory benefits.

2. Heard the submission of both sides counsel and perused the materials available on record.

3. Eventhough the petitioner has sought for a positive direction seeking to direct the respondent to promote the petitioner by considering 2/5

his representation dated 18.08.2025, this Court without going into the merits of the claim made in the writ petition, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law and also by taking into consideration the fact that the disciplinary proceedings have already been quashed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs.
