ORDER
The petitioner asserts that he purchased land in S.Nos.381/2, 381/3 and 381/4 of the aggregate extent of 2 acres and 95 cents from one K.P.Krishnan. Upon noticing that the land in S.No.381/2 was erroneously entered as Government poromboke in the revenue records, the petitioner had submitted a representation seeking rectification.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner relies upon the recommendation of the Revenue Divisional Officer to the District Collector acknowledging that such error was committed and that the petitioner is entitled to rectification.
3. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for all the respondents. On the basis of the written instructions, he submits that the District Revenue Officer is in the process of conducting site inspection of the plots in the layout created by the petitioner. Upon receipt of the site inspection report, he submits that the District Revenue Officer would pass orders on merits. 2/4
4. Considering the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Revenue Officer to proceed with and conclude the enquiry and pass orders on merits within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
