ORDER : The Court made the following order :- This Court had already granted interim bail and referred the matter to the Mediation Centre for settlement.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, it was reported that the parties have settled the issue and have filed a settlement agreement, the same being extracted hereunder: SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT "This settlement agreement entered into on 02.01.2026 between Vijayadeva @ Vijayakumar / 1st party (aadhar number- 9077 5063 0522) and Muneeswari/ 2nd party (aadhar number-5917 9143 6003). 2/7
WHEREAS
1. Disputes and differences had arisen between the parties hereto and Crl.O.P. (MD). No. 20456 of 2025 was filed on 13.11.2025 before the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court.
2. The matter was referred to mediation vide an order dated 20.11.2025 passed by the Hon'ble Mrs. Justice S.Srimathy.
3. The parties agreed that V.Maharajan/Mediator and P.Krishnaveni/comediator would act their mediator /Conciliator.
4. Several meetings were held during the process of mediation/conciliation from 24.11.2025 to 02.01.2026 and the parties herein have with the assistance of the Mediators voluntarily arrived at an amicable solution resolving the above mentioned disputes and differences.
5. The parties hereto confirm and declare that they have voluntarily and of their own free will arrived at this settlement agreement in the presence of the Mediators.
6. The following settlement has been arrived at between the parties hereto:

A. The 1st party has agreed to pay a sum of Rs.6,00,000/- to the 2nd party towards full and final settlement of all claims, disputes and allegations arising out of the subject matter of the case in Crime No. 88 of 2025 on the file of the Keela paralachi police station, Virudhunagar District.
B. The 2nd party hereby acknowledges that the 1st party has produced a demand draft for Rs.6,00,000/- bearing No. 001410 dated 02.01.2026 drawn on Bank of India, Mandapasalai Branch, Virudhunagar District in her favour and has accepted the same to her full satisfaction. C. Upon receipt of the said amount, the 2nd party agrees to settle the issue amicably and undertakes that she shall not prosecute or pursue the bail proceedings against the 1st party.
D. The 2nd party further agrees to compromise the dispute and to extend full co-operation for filing and disposal of a compromise quash petition to be filed by the 1st party before the Hon'ble High Court, seeking quashing of the criminal proceedings in accordance with law. E. The 2nd party undertakes that she shall not make any further claim, complaint or allegation either civil or criminal against the 1st party in respect of the subject matter of the present dispute F. It is mutually agreed that, in the event the 2nd party, after receiving 4/7
the settlement amount fails to co-operate, resiles from the terms of this agreement, or acts contrary to this settlement, including opposing or not extending co-operation for the compromise quash proceedings, the 1st party shall be at liberty to seek appropriate legal remedies against the 2nd party in accordance with law, without prejudice to his rights. G. The parties agree that this settlement has been entered into voluntarily, without any force, coercion, or undue influence, and with full understanding of its terms and consequences.
7. Both By signing this agreement the parties hereto state that they have no further claims or demands against each other with respect to Crl.O.P. (MD).No. 20456 of 2025 and all disputes and differences in this regard have been amicably settled by the parties hereto through the process of mediation"
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, subsequently, a quash petition has been filed.
4. In view of the above, the interim bail already granted by this Court is made absolute.
