ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.40 of 2024 dated 10.04.2024 on the file of the first respondent, which was registered for the offences under Sections 341, 294(b), 323, 324, 435, and 506(2) of IPC.

2. The allegation in the FIR is that on account of a love affair, the petitioners attacked the de-facto complainant and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the parties have now arrived at a compromise and have filed a joint compromise memo dated 13.11.2025.

4. The petitioners, namely Muthuraj (Aadhaar No.4476 4457 0214), Palpandi (Aadhaar No.5537 4970 6487), K.Karuppasamy (Aadhaar No.3088 3632 1671), and the 2nd respondent, namely Vasanth (Aadhaar No.5030 7264 0565), are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.M.Paramasivan, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Tharuvaikulam Police 2/4

Station, Thoothukudi District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

Considering the nature of the allegations against the petitioners and in view of the compromise arrived between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned FIR pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime No.40 of 2024 dated 10.04.2024 is quashed and this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The petitioners shall pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each as costs to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench forthwith and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry. The joint compromise memo dated 13.11.2025 shall form part of this order.
