ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent Police to provide necessary Police protection to the petitioner's life and limb so as to enable him to do the service as Pastor by entering into the Church premises situated at Kirubasanam Church, Pudhukkadu Vettivilai, Moolachal Post, Kanyakumari District based on the petitioner's representation, dated 05.11.2025.

2. It is a case of the petitioner that he was working as a Pastor; that the 4th respondent is preventing him from entering the church premises; and that the petitioner is unable to retrieve his belongings, which are in his residence.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that an enquiry was conducted and the same was closed on the petitioner's representation; that the petitioner was involved in the offence of POCSO Act; and that therefore, there cannot be any direction to permit him to continue as a Pastor.

4. This Court is of the view that the respondents Police are right in not interfering in any dispute between the petitioner and the 4th respondent as regards the right of the petitioner to continue as a Pastor. However, the respondents Police shall consider the petitioner's representation to permit him to remove his belongings from his residence. The respondents shall consider the said representation to that limited extent within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
