The writ petition was disposed of on 19.02.2026 with a direction to the Executive Officer of the Town Panchayat to issue allotment orders within a period of two days from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. Thereafter, the petitioner was granted time till 07.03.2026 to vacate and handover possession to the Town Panchayat. Now, it is listed today under the caption 'for being mentioned' at the instance of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that insofar allotment orders have not been issued and therefore he apprehends that the shops would be vacated on 07.03.2026 without providing alternative accommodation.
3. The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the third respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the alternative site has been earmarked and orders will be issued today.
4. Considering the above facts, the time granted to the petitioner to vacate and handover the possession is modified from 07.03.2026 to 1/3
22.03.2026.
5. In view of the above said facts, paragraph No.6 (b) of the order is directed to be substituted as follows:- " b) On receipt of the earmarked portion, the petitioner is directed to vacate, hand over the same on or before 22.03.2026."
6. Registry is directed to carry out the necessary corrections and issue fresh order copy to the parties concerned.
